Work has restarted on the 1969 Austin Healey Sprite mk IV project I have owned since 2009. Project Wanda is renewed. Now that the Vette has a few small things left she can get her time in the spot light.
1978 last year this car was registered
Moldy box that came with the car full of spark plugs, contacts, and a few brake parts.
I do not like where this roll bar mounts. The more I look at it the more I realize the rear mounts to nothing structural and that isn’t particularly safe. Might have to buy, make, or have made a better set up. That is besides the fact I do not feel as though I sit below it even when I sit in my lower seats.
I am happy to start going through parts and making a list of what to do and actually start. Thinking of maybe putting the work up on the YouTube. No idea how I would even want to do that or if people would be interested, but I guess there is no harm in throwing up my own videos and seeing where it goes right?
Any tips of ideas on that?

For reference, check the size of the mounting tabs on a common Miata one

Jake probably has some tips on youtubing.
Curious to see it in full view and whats parts are really there when you get to that point.

Well I literally have everything I took off so unless i lost parts, I should technically have everything. Though I think a number or the new parts I had bought a while back probably need to be replaced again like the rubber hoses etc.

You mentioned that you didn’t like how the roll bar looked, and I was pointing out the size of the mounting points on a reputable one for reference. A nd yeah, the ones on yours look awfully small

Ah ok yeah. Also has the rear mounts in a better position than the ones on mine. Thank you for the picture.

Do you happen to know where your 10mm is at any given time?

Yes I do, as I take the same stance as James May about keeping my tools organized.

One can only hope. As long as someone doesn’t start taking a hammer to it
