Headed up to Squamish today to look at townhouses that I can’t afford, but they’re at least more realistic to shoot for than anything where I live now. Took a detour on the way home up the road trough Britannia Beach to catch the views from where I’d live if I had 2 or 3 mil burning a hole in my pocket.

Yeah, older stuff is under 700, the new builds we looked at are 709-721 for a 2 bed, 820 something for a 3 bed. As far as town/row houses go, 710 in Burnaby gets you a 90s built leaky piece of shit that’s never been updated, and a parkade instead of a garage in the unit. Still, out of my price range anyways.

It’s unreasonably gorgeous here, and amazingly varied across the province. But god damn is it expensive, and wages are so low.

With the transfers and walking necessary to get to the industrial area I work in, it might even be slower. I don’t work in a transit friendly spot...
