My infrequent and erratic attempt to entertain, inspired by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , returns for a 3rd edition.

Let’s start with a tragedy: Jeep, being Jeep, didn’t renew its best color for 2021, dropping Bikini.

So what does Ford do? I have to think they’re simply trolling Jeep at this point.

Maybe it’s the sunlight on the Bronco, and who knows what make believe hellscape that Jeep was photographed in, but the color on the Bronco looks heaaaps better.

That’s actually a computer-generated one from their builder.

The problem with the Bikini color in photographs is that it’s all over the place; digital sensors seem to struggle to reproduce it accurately, and it varies wildly in different lighting conditions.

I remember seeing my first MXT. It was pulling out of a boat dealership in a part of town widely populated by rich folk who love big trucks. It's a monstrosity for sure.

What you say about Bikini is because people photographing it can't be atsed to correct white balance to ambient lighting. Part of it is because most people use cameras that don't allow the necessary adjustments, but still.

As much as I wish that were a disqualifying criterion, sadly I have to admit that not everyone is obsessed with the history of Jeeps, and not everyone is obliged to appreciate the legacy that goes along with the grille.
