Yes you can, this link will take you to the site to find out where to go in your county and what the hours are.

Yeah, that’s what I did this morning. At my county’s Board of Elections. Every county in Ohio is doing early in person voting up until the day before the election, as they’ve done every presidential election.
The SoS’s site has a clickable map for locations and hours:

2016 saw 55.5% turnout. I wish voting was compulsory in the US. You’re allowed to submit an entirely blank ballot.

It was so quick. A friend went maybe two weeks ago, he said leaving car to getting back in was a 15 minute affair. It was busier this morning, but still only 25 minutes or so. Lines were quick and smooth, lots of volunteer poll workers directing foot traffic. I’m glad our county has its shit together.

Thanks awesome.

I’ll be voting on actual election day. My polling place is in walking distance, isn’t typically too busy, plus my state made it a holiday for the first time this year.
![]() 10/23/2020 at 09:44 |

you can do that here too.
so long as your name is struck off the electoral roll.

Good on them for the Holiday.
I wouldn’t count on it being a typically non-busy day this year. But I think your workday is a LOT more fixed, schedule wise, than mine.
I live in a weird part of town, right on a border of three distinct cities, so my actual polling place is like the fourth closest to where I live. Two years ago I was able to walk to the polls.

I suspect with as many people voting early as there are, plus the holiday, it will actually be less busy than I’m used to. In the past I’ve had no trouble voting and getting out of there in time to be at work by 7:45.
That said, I hope it is busy. I hope people turn up and vote. Sin ce it is a holiday, if I have to wait in a long line, so be it.

I honestly think that there’s enough in person early voting going on throughout the country that we might see turnout above 60% this year.

Wait, I was supposed to vote in Ohio? Oops

My voting location used to be literally 150’ from my property . I miss that convenience.

Voting in Ohio is better than not voting at all...
Still low key disappointed in the new sticker design. Was looking forward to saying “I Ohio Voting”

Nice! My father-in-law lives three houses down from the elementary school where his polling place is. Mine is a three block walk.

I hope so.

I’m not a fan of compulsory voting, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if everybody in the US voted. What happens if you don’t vote?

I was thinking the same thing when I got my sticker. “ I Ohio voting” was always a good sticker.

I voted at my town hall on Tuesday. There were 2 others that came in to vote while I was there. I found it odd that I was had to lick the envelope to close the flap during this pandemic. Also, no stickers were offered.

I just need to research the candidates for judges and then I’ll be done and dropping it off at my clerk.

Lame. Here’s how it went for me:
Park in the municipal garage (free parking until the end of the election), walk over to the door, masked up, stand in a line, go down some escalators to the BoE in the basement, wait in a line there, go to a desk, give them ID/mail that verifies residency, they print you a barcoded paper ballot, go into another line, go to a kiosk where you insert your paper ballot, make selections on a touch screen (they provided a free touch screen pen that we got to keep), when you’re done it spits the ballot back out with your selections printed, go over to the ballot box, deposit the ballot, get your sticker, escalator, car, leave. Congrats, you voted!

Good on you. I don’t trust the post office for swift delivery unfortunately at the moment... took seven business days for a new card to get through the mail from my bank. My county had a drive thru absentee ballot drop off.
Most of the positions to vote for were one person unopposed positions. A few judges. On principle
I don’t cast a vote for unopposed elections.

But I can’t legally vote in ohio

Yeah, with all the tomfuckery that the current administration has done with the USPS and voter suppression moves (nothing in my area), I don’t trust anyone but me to deliver my ballot.

Done! Mailed mine off yesterday. Didn’t get a sticker though unfortunately...

On my agenda for the weekend. WA has been a vote by mail state for many years, zero problems in the past, even with the totalitarian kakistocracy trying to take root at the federal level now, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Dropped our ballots off at our mailbox yesterday. Must admit I was eyeing it frequently throughout the day until the mailman came and took them.
We live in OR so this has been the norm forever, but the entire neighborhood had their mailboxes raided a few weeks ago so didn’t want to risk unfortunate timing with another go around of that.
