While looking for a photo for pip bip’s recent post, I discovered this Škoda Estelle powered by a turbo EJ20 (likely an EJ205). I have a bit of a fascination with pre-VW Škodas, and this one is quite intriguing on several levels. I’m sure it’s a handful, but it sure is neat!

Yup, a rear-engined pre-VW Skoda is on my list of cars to own one day! I mean.....PIANO-HINGED FRUNK!!!

That always struck me as a great arrangement because then you don't need a safety latch and that helps for opening it in less steps.

It’s the best named vehicle ever. It looks like so much fun!

I’ve never had an answer to the ever popular, “What would you import when it becomes legal?” question, but now I do.  I can’t imagine these are easy to find though.

I think if you came over and had a look at European car classifieds you’d be like a kid in a sweet shop. Lol.

There's so many well known great, interesting, fun and quirky cars, but so many more that have been forgotten about or merely not in people's minds.

That does look like fun!

I was watching a bit of Doc Martin on PBS the other day ( don’t judge ), and noticed this Š koda pickup in one of the scenes. They certainly are intriguing, at least to me.

Though it has a “conventional” frunk opening, I think I’d have a 110R.

Sadly that pickup is just a regular two door, two seat pickup, of which the Felicia Fun is based on, but no second row movable bulkhead arrangement.
