These aren’t aging well...IMO. or maybe they were always as...chrysler...as they now appear. Remember when 500 hp seemed outrageous ?

My 707 is begging to be traded for the new TRX!

Pretty great that this was a truck engine put in a sports car then back in a truck.

Chrysler products never age well :p
That color is awesome tho

Agreed

poorly aged rare vehicles mean value will continue to decrease.
which means I can’t wait to make a bad decision and buy one of these in the future

It’s a “truck engine” but not really, it’s a Lamborghini redesign isn’t it?

It was a 5.9 with two extra cylinders and I believe lambo cast them initially because it was aluminum instead of iron but it's definitely a truck motor.

I saw a Chrysler Aspen Citadel (tarted up Durango) the other day. Whoever was in charge of design for Chrysler in the Oughts was a monster.

1. take prettier car from other company
2. iron it
3. strakes
4. done.

Adding two cylinders is... significant. Essentially the block architecture and bore spacing is the same, and that’s it really. I guess you could argue it’s just a modified head casting, but it’s a pretty significant modification.
Not many 5.9 parts bolt on.

As bad as FCA products have been, they generally put more effort into their trucks.
I have less issue buying a used RAM than I would an Neon or some other car. Though their Challengersaurus & Chargersaurus have been around so long, I can only assume they worked all the kinks out of them by now.

Blame diamler benz.

Me like. This is how you do a sport truck.

My point is it was in development as a truck engine before it was decided on for a viper. It’s a lot of different part s but k inda the opposite of how a chevy 4.3 is a a 5.7 minus two cylinders or how the scout 80 4 cylinder is just half the international v8 offered that year.

I’ll simply never learn to like the looks of the JK. I think Daimler left Chrysler with so few resources they had no design staff at all to work on it.

Is this the V10? The V10 is cool

i saw one of these the otehr day. I think they have aged pretty well.

in that it looked old new.

Still the fastest truck right? I’d love to see some one add power wagon axles to one (yes I know it’s more complicated than that).
![]() 10/21/2020 at 22:12 |

I gotta think that putting the engine in a powerwagon would be a little easier.

Quite true, but in this dream it’s a regular cab, short bed. I can’t control the dreams, just trying to rationalize them later.
![]() 10/21/2020 at 22:48 |

I thought the regular cab shortbed body was a better match for a performance truck. T he quad cab SRT10 always looked awkward to me , so it doesn’t seem any worse today than it did years ago.

Agreed. The refresh helped but something was lost in translation between the TJ and the JK.
![]() 10/22/2020 at 12:34 |

I still like the regular cab ones. Sure there are many cars with more than 500 hp on the market now, but its still a ridiculous amount of power. Especially in something like a rwd pickup.

I’d bet Rivian could take its place if they wanted too
![]() 10/22/2020 at 15:33 |

Probably the same want that made the new Grand Wagoneer. Which as I’ve said before looks more like an Aspen successor. Like Ot was supposed to be a Chrysler but that last month some one said “this’ll make more money as a Jeep”
![]() 10/22/2020 at 15:34 |

I don’t care how stupid they are I love SRT10 Rams. It’s definitely on my “if I hate F it money” list.

Top speed doesnt seem to be a thing electric cars chase. Taycan and model s is only like 160, the ‘ol Ram might be on the leader board for a while longer.
