If you've never felt a negative G maneuver...

It feels like a serious sinus infection, where you bend over to pick up something REALLY heavy off the floor. And then a giant greyback gorilla grabs your head and squeezes your brain out. (ploop!)

You can’t really close your eyes during this gorilla encounter either.

I can’t imagine talking through things like he can. And when he says it hurts... a lot, you can take his word for it. Look at his face during it. He workes out 340 days a year to do his performances. He no longer does solo shows but is soon to be in a 4-person aerobatic team, at 68 years old.

Sean Tucker is amazing. I got these shots of him at Fort Worth-Alliance back in 2017.

In the second shot, he’s breaking a tape that was stretched across the runway. You can see it trailing back from the airplane.

Oh man. I can feel that just from the thumbnail.

Kinja'd!!!

This was me flying the Skybolt with my pops, back in 2008. We’re just upside-down in a snap roll, but, obviously, I was backwards and holding the camera.

That day was the only time I ever remember feeling motion sick— empty stomach, we got started a little too late, so the air was already getting pretty bumpy. Combine that with a canopy and hot sun making me feel like an ant under a magnifying g lass, a few Immelmans, hammerheads, and snap rolls, and being backward for half of it... I was feeling close to barfing the rest of the day.

I haven’t experienced anything that crazy, but I can say that any amount of negative Gs is definitely a weird feeling in a helicopter with the doors open. I miss the aviation unit sometimes, frequent blackhawk rides are definitely the reason.

I met him about 8 years ago in Maine. He came out to check out  our plane either before or after he was going up for practice . He was mentioning how he had over 10,000 hours but had never flown through a cloud. Great guy to talk to.

The only negative ive done would have been actually just zero-g in a cessna. That was wild.

If you can build a Skybolt, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s pretty much hyperformance.

As to where to store it, or gas it up... I don’t know what to tell you.

I don’t even like pulling negative G rounding a small hill in the car.
