We’re finally getting our replacement-replacment airbag today. The Takata bag was removed back in 2016, maybe 2017? And then I got a new recall that the replacement airbag may not deploy at all. So this is airbag #3 for the passenger side of our plucky Pontiac Vibe.
Also, who wants to guess how much this ZR2 Colorado costs?
Fiddy Gs.

Does anyone actually pay full price for a GM product? Not that a TRD pro tacoma is any cheaper.

Why on earth can you buy a Colorado for half a hundred grand? Of course when you realize that a loaded heavy duty could come out close to double that that’s not so bad. And I like that the Colorado isn’t entirely huge. It’s really tall but not necessarily wide and long.

This would have never happened if you got a Toyota Matrix instead.

Agree. I actually don’t know what people pay for full size trucks, but it is NOWHERE near MSRP.

Sure makes you feel like you’re getting a good deal though. It’s like the Joseph A Bank of the truck world. But this Ultra Deluxe trim has the safety package and leather seats and a 5000" infotainment screen for only $6000 more!

Here’s a fun prank—
Walk straight up to the Service Director and say this-- “I need some lube for my vibe....”

It's true!

I assure you the first C8 owners paid Full MSRP.

I want that tail gate, but in grey metallic ;)
That is some crazy pricing. The new Colorados dont even offer Bose audio like mine / dads has. The MSRP was 44k.

Well, yeah. But that’s an exception. Just like the Hawaii and Alaska, the freak states.

At least in Hawaii I’m saved the time to bother going to the polls. We only send our brightest and our best to do the nation’s work.

Are you actually in Hawaii? Was just a simpsons reference but funnier if you are

How was their service, Z? That’s my usual service shop for oil changes and the occasional maintenance.
Edit: my roommate recently moved to Montana, before that, he worked at CoE.

So far I like them better than Roy Robinson in Marysville, which I will never go to again if I can help it.

If he had a Matrix, he would be stuck with one of the Toyota dealers instead. I guess they are slightly better than Chevy dealers, but not much.

Magic and Rodland are okay for service, but only just so. The only place that hasn't disappointed me yet is Lexus

I sometimes regret getting the Highlander instead of the RX, especially when I have to take it for service. We paid more for the Highlander with the same options, too. The dealership service experience at my nearest one sucks because they have no real competition.

I assume you mean Toyota of Kirkland? The buzz is the have a real "fuck you someone else will buy this loaded rav4 if you don't attitude." Allegedly, of course.

Good to hear. Their oil change service is better than most, and they do service most cars except for electronics (they couldn’t service my ECM).

The buying experience was definitely traditional shitty car dealer games, but it was the same at the other dealership.
Their service department also seems to realize that they’re the only option in the area...
I swear that Toyota set the dealership region for that one in like the 1970s or earlier, back when nobody lived out here, what is now Microsoft’s campus was a thousand acres of chickens, and the east side had like 35k people...
