The RV had actually broken down; the large mammal was just checking in on the driver to make sure he was okay.
Sadly that generation of RV conversion was only available with the 3.0 3VZE...

Like that motorhome, which did not brake suddenly but was already fully stopped and plainly visible directly in front of the driver on a straight road.
Or like the slower truck at the top of the hill, which came into view approximately 6 or 7 full seconds before a collision would have happened at that speed differential.
Or those pesky oncoming lanes!
