Former biker and ( still) 2 wheeled enthusiast here. Park your bike behind your car, makes it much more difficult for would be thieves to try and take your stuff. Also makes you become much more aware of your surroundings when backing in. I am unfortunately experienced in both of these scenarios.

I agree, but it only works because the rear of the suv is above the sidewalk. There isn't anywhere to put stuff on this bike so nothing to steal also. And I'd totally back into it. Haha

Me too. That’s the first thing I thought of seeing that parking arrangement.

Same, but there’s like three times as many spots as apartments where I live, so I just keep two cars here. Whatever.

Slightly larger space but I know what it’s like

They didn't design enough parking here. With my wifes car and the bike we have 3.

He means the bike itself, not any stuff. My roommate and I used to park our bikes in the backyard at our townhouse when I was in the Air Force. He eventually got tired of dealing with the gate and parked in the parking spot in front. His bike was gone within a week, and we lived in a nice area.
Heck, I live in a nice area now, and it’s amazing the amount of people prowling about at 2:30-3AM that get picked up by people’s doorbell cameras.

I might move it to behind, having it out of view is probably a good thing

I'm gonna move it and let the truck hang out. You guys are right. Thanks for the advice

Finally , a way to run over a motorcycle every day.

I think you should park the gixxer inside the SUV. Or on top of it. Or inside your appartment.

I’m the biggest proponent of backing into spots but I think in this case I would do bike at the back of spot and pull the TB in forwards since the front overhang is so much shorter than the rear.

No complaints from building management?

That looks awesome. It didn't fit inside. And we're on the third floor.

They're pretty cool. They just don't want to hear people complaining about us taking too many parking spots

Oh additionally in parking behind the car you may want to get a cover and disc lock too.
Thieves are lazy so even covering the bike might dissuade them if they’re casing during the day and if they don’t know exactly what it is when they make the night round. Particularly chop shop, where a few guys will just man handle it into a van, pickup or trailer. There’s sidewalks around your space so parking behind just makes it harder but unfortunately not impossible to steal especially if it’s still free rolling. A disc lock will likely thwart most dickhead joy riders looking for an easy burn.
All bikes can be stolen, it’s up to you to make it as difficult as possible.
