It was a little gloomy yesterday but still pretty.
After day one, all the heavy stuff was in the truck.
Day 2 of putting everything we own in a box truck sucked real bad.
I think I’m gonna hire a couple workers to unload this beast. The only help I have on this side is my wife’s uncle Skip. I don’t want to be responsible for killing Skip.
The cats are a little neurotic after 8 hours in the cab. Noodles won’t come out of her box.
Levi is hiding next to the toilet.
And George Lucas is hiding behind the bathroom door.
Looks like I have the place to myself tonight. Lol
My motorcycle is buried deep in the truck. I might not see it for a couple days.

Congrats on the move! The disdain for packing and moving is why I’m happy my employer will handle it.

Man, every time you post about leaving WV, I get sad, and I never even lived there!
Moving kitties is brutal. My heart goes out to them. I hope they adjust soon. Congrats on getting there safely.

Thanks. We couldn't buy a house down here without local paystubs. So we had to get an apartment and will be moving again in 10 months. Sounds like you have a good employer

Thanks. I'll miss the mountains, but I'll get over it sitting on the beach. I think it's a fair trade. I'm sure the kitties will be alright in a couple more hours.

Wow, that’s absurd.
The employer is the reason why I have to move, so they kind of have to cover it.

Cats are definitely against moving. When we moved a couple of years ago our cat hid in our closet for a long time. In fact it’s still one of his favorite places to hang out which is why my t-shirts are always covered in orange hair.

All of our heavy stuff is going in a storage unit and won't be too hard to deal with later. With a big dog and 3 cats we didn't have many options. We ended up on the 3rd floor. Not ideal but at least there isn't anyone above us

They’ve been freaking out for a couple days while all their h idings spots disappeared from the old house. They're at least moving a little now.

When we moved into our house, our cats disappeared. We finally found them deep inside a kitchen cabinet.

to hire local labor to pack/unpack my rental trucks. It’s worth it.

Our storage unit is at the u-haul place. My wife told me this morning that not only is that where I turn the truck in, but I can get hourly workers there too.
Skip and I don’t have to have a heart attack.

I was so glad my company paid for my move from Texas to Florida. People packed, people loaded and unloaded, people left. So nice. lol
