I didn’t know that the Citroën Jumpy was renamed Dispatch on English speaking markets !

Not the US sadly as we don’t get Citroen. We do get the  Fiat Ducato as the Ram Promaster. It’s not got a very good reputation for reliability.

The Ducato is a size bigger than the Jumpy/Expert/Vivaro (which is 100% PSA in the latest gen) , it’s the brother of the Jumper (which apparently is called the Relay in English speaking markets) and the Boxer.

And the Promaster really isn't all that great. It is indeed larger though. We also get the pretty small Ram Promaster City which seems to be more competitive. Still, I wouldn't buy either because of their reputations for shoddy build quality and poor reliability.

You’ve a keen eye

Not sure why you’d buy a Citroen work van. All the quirky French stuff I love about Citroen is the opposite of what I want for a plain white van.

They have a good reputation here, exist in multiple configurations  and are not too expensive.

I’m sure that makes more sense in Europe where they’re built, and where Citroen is a more beloved brand. But in Australia!?

SUVs (Small Utility Vehicles) brand recognition doesn’t always have to do with the car sold by the same brand.

I might be wrong but I don’t think that much of those are made in Australia and I am not sure Japanese market has similar products.

ps: as a comparison the length of the one in the video with 6 seats and a lot of room in the back with a separation is similar to the length of the smallest Ford F150 single cab.

I think no matter what segment you look at, Toyota is a stronger name than Citroen in Australia and I think it matters. People here know the Japanese for their reliability, and the Hiace has been a mainstay on our roads for decades.  Maybe the Toyota is more expensive, but certainly you can pick up a Hiace in all manner of short or long wheelbase configurations.

I don’t really know how big an F150 is, I don’t see many :P

In Europe most of the most successful small utility vehicles are shared between multiple groups, for example the Jumper/Ducato/Promaster is FCA made while the Jumpy/Expert /Vivaro is also sold as a Toyota ProA ce and ProA ce Verso and is a PSA product so the brand is less important than for passenger cars .

And yes,the F150 was more of a comparison for possible Americans :)

Another comparison would be that it’s about 10cm longer than a normal-wheelbase A8.
