Wrapped up t
he car tonight. Probably could have driven it this week, but I wanted to complete a brace for the rear floorpan after a driveshaft “oops”
Used half of a jegs universal driveshaft safety loop, bolted directly to the floorpan (since I lack welding equipment). It should prevent the driveshaft from entering the paper thin floor if the rear joint lets loose again. This ended up working out great for me, with some bending the loop fit like a glove.
Gonna try to shake it down AGAIN this weekend, weather permitting. Wish me luck oppo.

Good work! Any worries about moisture / water seeping in through those bolt holes?

The driveshaft loop was a good idea!

Good job and good luck! Would you be so kind as to post video when starting/test drive?

Would love to, but I lack a youtube account. Is there any easy way to post to kinja?

Im just glad I could use the universal part. I was about to send it back since it didn't fit the front.

I don’t anticipate driving this thing in weather of any kind. In addition, it is not a place underside that is very exposed to the elements. When the real bodywork gets done I will likely just get it tacked in.
