depressing innit

It’s pretty amazing that Trump appears to be likely to lose badly and yet doesn’t have any interest in an event that would be watched by tens of millions. Of course it would be easier to mute him in a remote event, especially since he couldn’t just walk over an yell in Biden’s mic.

You have no idea.
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:07 |

Does this mean we can officially call him a loser since he forfeit?
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:07 |

I was so ready for another night of comedy im kind of bummed out.

He refused the virtual debate precisely because he said they could cut off his mic whenever they wanted.
It’s hard to reason with a man who was never told “No” his entire life.

I didn’t even read the article. Did the commission cancel because T Rump refused to debate virtually?

It would be funny if it weren’t so damned depressing.

I suspect 45 fears a moderator with a mute button, so he’s doing what he’s done most of his life and chickening out.
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:36 |
|
I mean I think many women have told him no, he just didn’t listen.
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:40 |
|
He said something to the effect of he didn’t want virtual debates because somebody could just turn off his mic.
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:47 |
|
In other words, he can’t try to shout down his opponent and/or not observe the moderator’s direction.
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:48 |

Exactly. He has to accept somebody telling him “No.” Which has never happened his entire life.

It would be pretty funny if, after years of dodging all sorts of allegations and charges, they were finally able to pin Attempted Manslaughter charges on him if it’s proven he knew he had Covid but wen t to rallies and in-person events anyway.
![]() 10/09/2020 at 19:53 |

I wouldn’t put it past him to try and infect Biden on purpose. It’s come to that.

Refuse to hold any debates until a moderator agrees to ask about the 25 year import rule.

This would be a horrific precident for HIV+ people

At least you don't live here.

I'm pretty sure he would do that in a heartbeat.

I mean I think if you engage in unsafe sex while knowing you are HIV positive, you deserve to be charged. Being really horny is not an excuse!
![]() 10/09/2020 at 20:50 |

I’m sure Trump would be happy to ban all imports* regardless of age.
*Rich people excluded of course, long live show and display!

i remember when living in the states was aspirational

Believe 2nd debate was supposed to follow a “town hall” format where “voters” directly asked questions from the candidates...which probably would’ve gone pretty badly for Trump.
Does this mean the 3rd debate will now follow this format, or go back to the regular debate format where Trump can speak down to and ignore the moderator as much as he wants to?

At first I thought that they need to skip any more debates because they are just political theater of the absurd and nobody is going to have their mind changed. But then I read that Trump’s infantile behavior at the first debate actually turned a lot of people off. So now I say, bring on the debates!
