This was about a 4 foot gator which would have made him an adolescent. Although not as deadly as a full grown adult they are still very fast and once those jaws clamp on to a finger or hand, and they go into a death roll they could easy take off a finger or rip you’re hand up pretty bad. In eaither case it would have been hard trying to explain to workmens comp what happened.

We don’t know yet. They dropped it off yesterday. All we know is truck was shut off, parked and all windows up and doors locked when it happened. Basically the whole thing would have burned down except it ran out of oxygen!

Someone mentioned it is near the 12V port, and yep, we found it melted in a puddle on the floorboard LOL.

this is just the tip off the iceberg. not shown is the rear brake lines pinched off to stop a leak and a unbelievable amount of structural rust...

Ford tempo 1994 series

Anything that is exposed to high heat conditions get oxidized (rust) quicker then metal that is not. As you can see the right side control arms look dramatically better then the left because you can see the exhaust is very close and snakes around them. As the exhaust heats up it heats up those control arms. The cycling comes from getting hot then cooling off between driving the car. Every mechanic (and a lot of others too) know that exhaust bolts are always a PITA and rarely if ever are reusable just because they face the most heat cycling on the car. Think of your charcoal or propane grill....it may look good but after a few seasons grilling the grate you grill on maybe completely disintegrated.

The oil filter - my sister’s fiesta was the same way (I changed the oil for her once for some reason, I think it was just bad timing of me being around when it needed it) where there are rubber cooler lines directly below the filter. Stupid.

I feel like the steering wheel “option” would be a great addition to self driving cars when we get there.  Kids, deranged commuters, heck just to get the circulation going.

Well, at least you know the alignment and shocks are good... It's genuinely hard to get a tire that worn that evenly.

Oh trust my the R56 MINI is even worse. I love the car but I seldom change the oil myself. You have to remove the coolant bottle and flex one of the plastic pipes on the thermostat housing a little. And can see almost nothing.
