The ignition coil blew and part of the exhaust fell off. Goddamn why can’t I just have a driveable car.
But hey, I successfully changed 2 of the 7 bad control arms, so I got that going for me I guess.

Well, you get what you pay for, sadly.

The exhaust is actually a non-issue. A connector used on the aftermarket muffler rusted away and fell off, but it was aft of the muffler and only the over-axle pipe was dangling. Still annoying tho.

That sucks, but both should be relatively cheap fixes...right?

I just successfully changed the timing belt and water pump on my S80. The experience has me browsing for electric bicycles.

A new coil was $40 , and all the exhaust needs is a $10 adapter. Still annoying tho.

That’s gotta feel good from an “I did it!” perspective though.

Didn’t you buy this car for really cheap? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I did . It’s in the tag.

I don’t miss these days. Looking back at my old shitty jeeps, man they were piles. They’ll never not get you where you need to go, but they make a stink about it.
