I am sure Meadows is as trustworthy and credible as banshee Kayleigh McEnany.

My initial reaction to this was roughly, who knew his lying ass would be more forthright than the lying-ass doctors. But if there's one thing Trump has shown during his tenure it's that he has the superpower of making doctors who speak publicly about him want to lie through their teeth about him.

Call me a realist but I don’t expect them to be exactly transparent about the ongoing health of the president as this goes on. If it were any other president I would be equally cynical of this, nature of the beast.

Correct, to a certain extent, it’s not as partisan as other aspects of the Trump era. R egardless of whether it’s Trump or someone else, the Secret Service and the Cabinet have reasons for being opaque about a sitting leader’s sudden health issues. Again, to a certain extent.

True, but * all* public declarations by doctors regarding Trump’s health during his reign have been extremely... optimistic.

I’m still not convinced that 45 nor any of the inner circle cabal actually have the virus. There’s probably more than one MO where something can be gained by faking it. I definitely wouldn’t put money on what is released by his doctors. 6'3" 239.

6'3" 239

I’m struggling to care, to be honest.
I really don’t want him to die, but I figure that we’re not really going to get the truth about his condition for a while, and I’m ok with it.

Read an article not too long ago on the public statements issued when President Garfield was dying of his gunshot wound for...ten weeks? Sounds similar.

What’s the 6’3”239 about?
And it’s VERY easy to me to see a benefit for him to fake it. Several, in fact.

His supposed height and weight.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:12 |

Are you suggesting that he’s shorter and/or heavier? I have no clue. By all accounts I think he is taller than 6’

To be fair, he is receiving the best treatment possible, including a medication not available to the general public as it is in clinical trials right now so it’s possible. However, seeing how this admin lies about so much petty shit, I don’t particularly fault people for not immediately believing it.

Think about how long they waited to tell us that Reagan had actually been shot...
OTOH, I think this is a build up to “The Great American Come-Back Story”.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:16 |

You would agree that he looks pretty robust up on stage these days though , right?
I think he looks healthier these days than he did coming down the escalator 5 years ago... No president has looked “younger” after a term.

The height I can believe. Maybe he’s adding an inch or 2 but it’s relatively believable.
The weight, hell no. If you put 6'3" 239 lbs in a BMI calculator it falls precisely at the upper limit of “overweight” and not until obese. How convenient.

I think this is a build up to “The Great American Come-Back Story”.
They all recover quickly and safely... and surprisingly quickly.

Some commentors were pushing back this morning on CNN’s “morbidly obese” script.
There’s no way that’s an accurate description.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:22 |

He’s probably obese. No way he’s morbidly obese.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:24 |

I actually think he’s eating better in this job... Curious what his weight has done, but he doesn’t even look “that” heavy. “Overweight”, maybe.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:28 |

You can hide a lot of extra weight under a suit. The golf photos I’ve seen make me think obese. But who really knows.

What a ridiculous sight...
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:33 |

His claimed height and weight. Largely disputed by people with a similar height and weight who are more fit.

Yep, it’s a miracle, these strong brave courageous real Americans can beat anything. No room for losers here!

I’m not defending the narrative, BTW. Just pointing out that the “Look, we beat COVID, ‘Murica can beat COVID” storyline isn’t that outrageous for their endgame here.
I’d be shocked if all the inner circle doesn’t recover and start to beat that drum...
![]() 10/03/2020 at 17:44 |

That’s silly though. A very fit person that height and weight would look far thinner than a couch potato like him.
Muscle weighs more than fat-

![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:02 |

We have no idea what he weighs. 6'3" 239 lbs = 29.9 BMI, conveniently 0.1 below the threshold for "obese."
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:12 |
|
The whole BMI thing is silly. I’m a jacked 5'11" and 210 lbs so my BMI of 29.3 is “overweight ” and nearly “obese.” If/when I cut weight down to a lower body fat % I’m more like 200 which is still “ overweight.” The most I could weigh to be considered normal is 178. The lightest I’ve ever been while at my current fitness level is 190 and that was with significantly less muscle mass.
But I do think it’s a little too convenient that his purported height and weight put him at 29.9 BMI when 30 = “obese. ”
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:17 |
|
Hell, I’m just over 6-3 and around 240. Based on pictures of him when he golfs he has at least 30lbs on me if not more.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:24 |

Considering there were reports that he was placed on supplemental oxygen last night, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that “recovering” is an optomistic term they are using.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:37 |
|
Oh no, I wasn’t contradicting you. I agree with that thought 100%. This could be a very convenient ploy. A regime with a pathological liar for a leader is capable of this.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:39 |

He likes to lie, though. I find it hard to believe someone of his appearance has those stats - either the height is off, or the weight.
![]() 10/03/2020 at 18:56 |
|
I don’t believe he has it. Just another deflection/distraction from his shitty shittyness that so many people seem to love. Also, if/when he makes a “miraculous” recovery...the best recovery; he can claim it’s some fucked up treatment he used that he’ll no doubtedly be financially tied to.

Faking the disease he’s taken few precautions against and that his supporters think is a hoax?
Not sure I see the benefit there.

He can spin it to say either the virus isn’ t too bad and that everything should re- open immediately , or that he is a strong superman (remember how he drools over the idea of being a dictator) and beat it easily.
Remember, he’s a pathological liar and glorified conman.
