Like clockwork Curly came back today. Only in spring and autumn.
I keep telling myself a used tourist quality 50-200mm wouldn’t be worth it as I’d only use it for birds. Clearly I’d get use out of it though. I li
ke bird watching.
Bonus Hawk:
I’ve named him Hudson.
He looks like a Hudson.

What body are you shooting? If you don't need a fast/constant aperture a cheap 70-300 might be just right. Bonus crop factor puts that at 105-450 for asp-c and normally under a hundred bucks.

I walked out to Bird Island NC this afternoon and didn’t see anything good.
Just the normal beach birds.

It’s a Fuji X crop. On offer from Fuji is a 50-230mm, 4.5-6.7. $ 400 new. M aybe find a used one for $ 280. Fuji have a great line, but there aren’t that many 3rd party lenses. “Normally under $100", c ould you point me to that one, please ? :-)x
