K ei trucks in Maine. People like to use them as trail or farm vehicles. The enclosed cab is much nicer than driving your Gator out to feed the cows in the middle of winter.

I know they are 4wd, but it seems like those skinny tires would just dig down in the mud and get stuck.  With that said, you bet that fully enclosed cab would be more comfy than a Gator.

I’m not an offroader so I can’t speak to how the tires affect it but it d idn’t slow these down.

If I ever have enough property I’d import a Subaru Sambar. Then I’d put a snow plow on it.

Similar to this Suzuki Carry, probably without the tracks.

Could be the same principal as skinny snow tires, they cut through the loose stuff to whatever is solid underneath, instead of just ‘hydroplaning’ on top of the loose stuff with no grip

That’s what people in the Mk1/2 VW community do if they’re batshit enough to drive their cars year round. Pizza cutters for the snow so they can actually get traction. If they run wide wheels like they would in the summer, they just tramline around and slide out in snow.

That is my dream plow setup. This would replace my teryx 750 sport easily.

Then take the plow off and load it up with ice fishing gear then drive on the lake.

Our drum corps had a Daihatsu kei truck that pulled a trailer of less mobile instruments  (the trailer was large enough that we towed the truck on it from site to site). For years they tried replacing it since parts were hard to find. So many little 4 wheelers, Gators, you name it. The Daihatsu always won. We had to push the trailer through the mud a few times but the truck never got stuck.
