Coolest thing ever or dumbest thing ever?
![]() 01/28/2020 at 14:46 |

Probably wouldn’t put it on ice cream.

Coolest thing ever!

I wouldn’t call it the coolest thing ever, but it’s a welcome addition to my spice rack. Works great with chicken , popcorn and corn on the cob .

Really dumb in my opinion.

eat a spoon full and tell me how it is
![]() 01/28/2020 at 14:56 |

Nope.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 14:56 |

My thoughts exactly. WHERE IS THE BAGEL?
![]() 01/28/2020 at 14:57 |
|
Now that does not sound bad.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 14:57 |

probably not...
![]() 01/28/2020 at 14:57 |

If it truly was everything but the bagel it would have diamonds or acorns or antimatter in it
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:00 |

We bought some!
Used it once and the gimmick wore off after a few bite s . Which is about the same opinion I have for half the stuff in the store...

I really don’t get it. Was recently asking for TJ recommendations and people were raving about it (on a FB group) so we got some. Yeah...well its a mixture of some pretty common and expected spices.
We were making homemade bagels so they were good on it, but other than that we haven’t gone out of our way to put it on anything.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:02 |

So, basically a mix of spices already on my rack but priced higher for my convenience?
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:05 |

I offered my co-worker the empty bagel bags with all the little bits that have fallen off the bagels if she is so dedicated to bagel seasonings.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:05 |

I think it would be okay for seasoning meats too.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:06 |

Pretty freaking awesome

Start saving now for Christmas next year. You’ll be a hero.

I agree with you there. Would make a tasty steak
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:11 |

Popcorn sounds like an ideal application. I usually put Zatarain’s on mine.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:14 |
|
Ok so this is probably crazy but I’d like to have a plain bagel with cream cheese, then sprinkle this on top. That way you get to enjoy an everything bagel without wearing it.

Here, my gift is home made!

I got Spicy Cayenne Pepper sauce from Lidl, thinking it was something special. Just sriracha sauce.
There are no Trader Joe’s close by, but there are Aldi’s everywhere. Now, there’s a Lidl, too.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:16 |

We have it. Goes well with Steamed Brocolli, sandwiches.

I wish there was an option for everything bagel without the sesame. I’m allergic.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:28 |

It’s ok, but nothing special. This is the one to get:
And the best part? No salt.

Somebody online suggested stirr ing it into waffle mix. Savory waffles aren’t really my jam, though I think I might try it for chicken and waffles.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:31 |

It would probably make a dynamite chicken seasoning. You might could mix it in with some sour cream for a dip. Might be good with some fried potatoes, too. The possibilities are really quite endless.

Is this gif your “everything seasoning” for posts?

I would buy that.

My personal opinion is that the 21 Seasonings is kinda bland and forgettable.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:44 |
|
Excellent idea!
I usually eat the top half of my everything bagel and let everything fall on the bottom half with the cream on it…or on to the plate/not on me as much as possible.
Th en like a caveman I sweep up all the fallen seasoning bits off the plate and sprinkle it on top of the cream cheese on the bottom half BECAUSE MUST HAVE EVERY SPRINKLE OF FLAVOR.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:46 |

Kinda like this but no pepper.

Too bad their return policy is so good. If it wasn’t you could really make a big deal about how you bought it but that it didn’t come with any chicken tenders or underwear.

Yeah to us all TJs has going for themselves is the convenience factor. People rave about how delicious their food is (and everyone has their favorite TJ item), so we asked around, made a list, bought it all, and tried it. W ell most of it was…OK?
I guess for people who don’t actually cook regularly or don’t have the time to make elaborate meals, it’s quick, easy, and tastes good. But it’s definitely not better than anything we’d make at home. For those times we don’t have the time and/or energy to cook though, it’s a passable alternative.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 15:58 |

I hate cooking, so TJs keeps me from living on chips and salsa.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 16:11 |

The “taco” method. I like it!
![]() 01/28/2020 at 16:24 |

Our one TJ’s is in a “ high-end strip mall” (I’m not yet sure what to call the odd trend of putting fancy retailers outdoors, but if I’m buying something at Williams-Sonoma or the Apple Store, I feel like I should have covered parking and a butler.)
It’s a huge PITA to access, so going to TJ’s has to be a very concerted effort. I would love to have one in a low-density shopping center for convenience. That’s how our Aldi locations are...much more accessible.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 16:46 |

Us west-coasters have never experienced Aldi but I keep seeing people on Oppo mention it. Is it life changing? Is it a Whole Foods type place?
![]() 01/28/2020 at 16:47 |

We have been using this. We don’t have a Trader Joe’s close, but this is sold at the supermarket. They have a pepper also.
![]() 01/28/2020 at 17:10 |

Nope....more like an upscale gas station or drugstore, IMO. Seems like a Yuppie/Hipster type of combo, with lots of cheap generics that people seem to love. I can’t get into it. Maybe more akin to a “Mini Costco” if you prefer.
Sadly, our closest Whole Foods just closed down after just 2 years — horrible traffic flow and TONS of competition in the immediate area. It was doomed from the start, just like 3 grocers before it. I think they got a tax deal on it.

Great on salads

there’s the issue then, no salt

I pulled up the wrong one. This one, made in South Africa, is the one I prefer:

I’m not a fan of everything Bagels so that doesn’t do it for me BUT the one
TJ’s thing I can’t live without now is their jalapeno tarter sauce. I can barely eat fish without it anymore.

I love the stuff. I like to put it on my eggs and grilled cheeses
