Ford should’ve sold them over here
The older EL Falcon has a rare digital odometer that actually rolls over to zero after 999999. Every other digital odometer stops at 999999 and stays at 999999 and doesn’t roll over. The 03-08 Corolla/Matrix/Vibe stops at 299999

I would have bought a 10 year old used one.

Good question. My dad actually had an FG XR6 for a while so I was able to deduce using a combination of past experience and general aptitude for picking cars from a crowd!
Nothing to do with the stickers

299999 doesn’t seem very optimistic. I know it’s apples to oranges, but Commodores tend to go twice that

It’s funny because Toyota makes the best cars, the ones that can do 300k with no problem!
In the case of the 299999, it’s because they made it a88888 instead of 888888. Almost 20 years later, still no fix.
Toyota will pay for a new cluster
, but you still have to pay for the labor at the dealer.

What do you mean by a88888?
Weird that you’ve gotta pay for labor haha.
I think it’s a bit different. I don’t really expect a Corolla or Yaris to go that long. But the Commodores are like those Crown Vics and stuff I think, big fat unstressed engine that just keeps going. People don’t keep cheaper hatches and stuff that long anyway

Wouldn’t it stop at 399999? If it can make a 1 and a 2 then it should be able to make a 3, or at least that’s how my logic works.

the digits on an LCD display
most LCD odometers have the standard 7-segment digits. 8 means the full 7 segments, while the “a” means the top left segment is omitted.
Top left, top, top right
center
bottom left, bottom, bottom right
