So, now that I am going to be staring my new job,i get a nice 2 weeks of no work. Perfect time to fly out to LA for a week and visit my sister. My sister is a model, so she correspondingly knows some awesome places to go. I am looking for suggestions for stuff to do out there, especially if o get some free time while she is working.
All I can do to pay is post puppydog pictures.

Is she a car model, or one of those boring models that doesn’t hang around cool cars?

Plenty of options... whatever your itch— bountiful ways to scratch it out here.
Outdoors?
Art?
Music scene?
Movies and TV?
Aviation?
Cars and car museums?

Asking about things to do in the LA area, to me, is like going to Florida and asking if there are any beaches within driving distance. :)
Now, about your sister...

She could be one of those 2-n-1 models!

“My sister is a model”
.....of what?
A model of a building? A model of a car? A model of good behavior? Clearly if she’s a model of sentence structure, you skipped her lessons on finishing thoughts.

The ironic thing is despite the smart-assedness my sister has modeled quite a few things. Her portfolio is quite diverse.

Stuff that doesn’t take a lot of money. Restaurants
, museums, spots to see. I have a week and a car rental. My sister lives right near downtown so I should be able to walk a bunch of places.

They filmed a ton just for like 3 seconds of footage in this spot. She was sending me pictures of her and her boyfriend driving around in the sun out there and I was screaming internally lol.

Laymen: modeling is easy you just stand there
Producers: ok, we need you to hold this humidifier in a way that makes it engage with millennial parents. But not in an earnest way, but a cool, sophisticated wat.

There’s a bunch of ideas in here.
https://travel.usnews.com/Los_Angeles_CA/Things_To_Do/Free/
I’m partial to the Grand Central Market downtown for coffee and street tacos. (If you are a Blade Runner fan, the Bradbury Building is just across the street— looks just like in the film inside.)
It’s easy to spend a day in Santa Monica and The Pier... plus the Metro is a cheap, simply way to get out there from Downtown.
Metro also goes to USC/Exposition Campus-- science museum is very, very cool.

Movie filming locations are irresistible to me when I am in that area. Best part, they are free save for the cost of driving to them.

I’m no LA expert, having been there just once, but if I went back I’d definitely go to the Peterse n Automotive Museum. I’d also hit the classic or kitschy places like Santa Monica Pier, Randy’s Donuts, Pink’s Hotdogs. Drive up Mu lholland Drive (though I understand a stretch is closed until summer ). That’s just stuff I’d do now.
When I was there with the wife, we saw the La Brea tar pit, saw some sitcom filming and must have done other stuff that I don’t even remember. Oh, and we did the Hollywood tour. I don’t think I’d recommend any of that now.

Money, other plans. Outside of visiting family I ’m probably going to get to see most of what I want to there.

I suppose that makes sense
