Ttyymmnn and I both listen to BT speakers in our cars. This one, as can be plainly seen, is well loved and the sound quality is halfway decent. What BT speakers has Oppo used that sound good ?

I’ve got a bose soundlink mini II that sounds amazing. I’ve got an Anker one at work that sounds good enough, but is terrible with phone calls. Anker was $40, Bose was $200

Yeah. I haven’t priced the Bose offerings yet. A guy I know at church, a designer and artisan and serious audio snob , says that Bose does sound as good as its marketing suggests. Anker is a brand that has done me very well over the years.

Regarding BT phone, my favorite configuration is my Bose QC2 headphones and the mic that’s already on the phone. I like it because it blocks out everything else but the call.

I use an Anker soundcore at work but I'm no audiophile, it was only like $20 but battery lasts forever. I'm just switching between trucks a lot and none of them have anything more than basic fm radio so I just keep it in my backpack.

Another one for Bose soundlink mini - that’s the one I use in my old truck sometimes. It’s pretty amazing for its size.

I will also say that I’ve heard some of the newer JBL speakers, and they are impressive as well. The ones I’ve seen, though, are quite a bit bigger than the bose.

I have an Oontz Angle XL which I like a lot. It’s waterproof and loud enough to use in my boat while underway.

I use one of these in the Corvette since the radio is busted

http://www.alteclansing.com/product/lifejacket-2/

It produces decent sound, but I’m no audiophile either

My wife and I accidentally got each other QCIIs for Christmas. I LOVE them. We actually have two of the Soutlink Mini’s I bought a newer one and didn’t like the look of the speaker itself, so I saved $100 and bought a used older one.

How is the durability ? I am a klutz and tend to drop things? ...looked it up “drop-proof build” and $22 dollars is in my price range.

I have a magnetic "klein" bluetooth speaker that I bought off of Amazon that works great. I use it in my toolbox or attach it to the cab of one of my Squarebodies when I want music. I will see if I can find the link for it. Great sound quality for what it is & it was only $30

I have a JBL Flip 2 that sounds pretty good, although I have to admit that when I bought it I forgot to look for something that supports aptX bluetooth for better sound quality. I chose this one by going into Best Buy and listening to all the stuff they had hooked up to the display, and it sounded the best to me. But the connection to the phone is just plain old regular bluetooth without support for higher quality codecs like aptX.

If I were buying one today I’d definitely want to get aptX. A quick search found me the Creative Sound Blaster Roar Pro or   Anker Soundcore Motion+ .

My good friend was an engineer at AKG for years, his take on B ose - overpriced junk. He said their sound science was okay but their construction was no better than anyone else’ s stuff at a 1/4th the price.

I use a couple of Oontz Angles paired for stereo for music in my garage. Definitely loud enough and the sound quality is pretty good for the size of the speakers.

UE Megaboom. Pricey, but it’s great. Had mine for a couple years , been in the pool, bounced down rocks, etc. Loud enough to be heard over grinders and shop vacs.

Big fan of the cylindrical JVL one I got my daughter.  It’s kind of pricey though, and it wouldn’t mount well on a dash.

Other than in price. But yes.

My Vic has a giant cavity in the dash where a radio would go and no speakers anywhere that I am aware of and any sort of radio does not even show up on the priority list. So Bluetooth...

My sister gave me one of these ( Douni A7):

I haven’t pushed it hard but it does sound very good, and is pretty inexpensive too.

Buy these. They are great, inexpensive, sound much better than A nker’s offerings at this price point (I’m an admitted A nker fan boy) and have great battery life.

This is the 1961 Ford... there weren’t even holes drilled for seat belt mounts. Hell, there wasn’t even a way to control the temperature of the heat from inside the cab, you have to get out, open the hood and close a valve on the intake manifold.

Though I have to admit, there are circular indents in the glove box door when it’s open. I can only assume that’s where you’d put your lunch beer while on the construction site. But it wouldn’t hold up to any movement...

I've dropped it a fair few times, usually out the top of my open backpack so over 5' off the ground, no noticable difference in sound or anything. I work demolition lol so it's handled me just fine, honestly for me it's been one of the best $20 purchases I've ever made, but again I'm also no audiophile so your mileage may vary. I use it for hands free calls in the truck too, seems to work decently for that as well. Only thing I don't like is not having skip/previous buttons on the speaker but it has volume and play/pause.

It sounds like a good fit for me. A lot of my music is low quality recordings. While I like good quality... anything should sound better than my phone speakers .

This is the one I have. “Blackfire” makes the same thing in a black case for $50. It’s a lot of sound in a small package. In anything other then my mud truck I can listen to  music at highway speeds

Bench seat I’m assuming? Check out Igloo Kool Rests. These are from the 70s. The C10 crowd drove the price up a few years ago but I think you can find them under $100 now. Uses the middle seat belt to hold it in place. Holds a 32oz big gulp no problem lol
