First impressions - much smaller than I was expecting (xv in background).
Door vent is stupid looking.
Unimpressed.
Near but not that neat.

They certainly don't seem to be flying off the shelves.

The dealer near me can’t seem to sell them but they still have insane markups.
I wanted some basic info about the car and they were awful. They wasted my time significantly, so I decided to waste theirs. J ust out of curiosity, I jumped through their hoops and ended up talking to the sales manager. I managed to talk him down to a $5k markup. After that, I told him even that markup was just too much for a car that isn’t moving units.
I lost track of how many times he said: “you’ll be the only one of your friends who has one of these.”
To which I would constantly counter with: “yeah, and if I tell my wife or family that I paid $15k or $10k, etc over MSRP for a T oyota, they’ll laugh in my facr.”
G ood times

To put the sales in persepective: December Sales
Supra: 404
86: 276
Brz: 131
370z: 158
GTR: 17
Miata: 511
Fiat 124: 142
Z4: 233
Porsche Boxster/Cayman: 191
911: 663
SLK: 147
F-Type: 156
Not bad for a car that just started selling close to retail. Those markups kill initial sales numbers.

“you’ll be the only one of your friends who has one of these.”

Huh. That’s not bad at all. I was judging off of how many I’ve seen locally, which... Is zero unless you count dealerships or car transports.
Honestly the 911 numbers are the most shocking, seeing how high the average price is

I’ve seen 3 around Lakewood/Tacoma. 1 red, 1 white, and 1 black being street driven. Saw one in Renton with a blue wrap on it too.
I was most surprised Porsche only sold 191 Boxsters/Caymans. I figured they would outsell the 911 considering price.
