Is this the guy that’s been snow drifting it with snowboarders jumping over him? If I wasn’t on mobile I would find the clip I’m thinking of

It’s a 348, engine out is a normal thing any owner has to prepare for on a regular basis, not cheap but part of the cost to own.

Damn. One of... what, like 5?

Tell me more about that mustard 348 in the background getting a belt service

Engine out on a 348 isn’t the boogie man. Yes, it’s going to be more spendy at the Ferrari dealer, but if you plan accordingly, it’s not a cost that will ruin your life. No worse than the first year of depreciation on any new car that isn’t a jeep/Tacoma/4runner.

Between the SP1 and SP2 there will be only a few hundred. Couldn’t find more accurate numbers than that, other than there will never be more than 499 produced.

Would you ever do the belts on your 348 yourself? When I get my budget in line for one, I’ve recently been thinking I’d rather spend the money upgrading my garage and tools than on labor since I’m generally confident doing my own belts

I am strongly considering it on the next go around. Just go slow and make it my winter project. Plenty of people do it, and I know a few people who have and they are local to me. The more I work on this car, the more I realize it’s just a freaking car and fixing it is the same as everything else. The main thing would be to take a lot of pictures to prove everything is done properly on the off chance I ever sell it.
I have 3 years to decide though. Fresh off the belt service Jan ‘18

Y eah low volume but despite the price, it is guaranteed to double or triple in the next 5 years. Not street legal though. You can title it but without wipers, you ain't getting a state inspection
