Ive come to ride on you again

Ive finally done it....I killed my front wheel.... Don’t know what I hit tho

Was chasing a scooter on me way to work when something smacked off the front fork and scared the shit out of me... Must have also gone through the wheel coz I lost 5 spokes and most of the others are loose...also the rims pretty bent....

I guess the spokes breaking are why I didn't have a bigly crash right outside of work tho....so hey silver lining

Yup. I got something jammed in my spokes many moons ago. Ended up with my collar bone snapped in  half. 0/10, do not recommend.

last time i went over the bars i just slid along the road on my fore arms....(after a perfect swan dive i might add:p) the time before that i lost my front teeth....its the worst way to crash on a bike

I did something like that on a Razor scooter years ago.  I braced for the impact, and in the process landed on my fists which broke a bunch of ribs. While I had a cold. And bronchitis. Breathing was a chore, and coughing, which I was doing frequently, was torture.

tbh... i was planning to replace the front wheel anyway...it was getting pretty tired....i just wasnt planning to replace it quite yet

and i’d love to know what i hit/ hit me.... didnt see anything... but then...unlit street and oncoming traffic...easy to miss something

In my experience to do that damage you really need to punt something hard. Like a square curb or large stone.

Maybe something flipped up from the road and jammed into your wheel and did the old stick in the spokes thing
