This thing is surprisingly sturdy. Lots of zip ties and couple strategic screws. Eco-friendly!

Amazon! I called 3 local bamboo nurseries. They all said just order online, they only deal in live plants. I got 25 poles, each 1" in diameter and 6' long for $55 or so, shipped to my door.  I have 6-7 poles left over, thinking I might build a brush guard out of them.

Hey, nice! I had a bamboo roof rack when I was on Maui:

Much less sophisticated, as I simply made 4 v-blocks, bolted them through the roof, and did the same with the bamboo in the center of the V.

Your execution is... infinitely better, especially with the Panda theme. Well done.

Very common sight in East Asia. If I may make a suggestion, instead of plastic zip ties you should get yourself some metal ones. The plastic zip ties don’t last very long being exposed to sun on a regular basis and they end up becoming very brittle.
