A battery and a tow, so, everything :P

200k and its sitting in the woods in New Hampshire? I’m sure it has no rot at all and is perfect.

If it wasn’t all the way across the country, I could convince a coworker .

I know, lol “just needs” - but hey for $300?! I can’t even see any rust*
* yeah, I know, it’s rusty underneath. But still the body looks good.

Hey, you can’t see any rust from that picture, which is a start. I’m sure it’s kind of nasty underneath, but not beyond saving. For practically free, that is.
Now, compare this to just about any one of the cars that was in the yard at Ron Dauzet’s - remember him? This is why he couldn’t sell off his cars.

SAVE SUCCESSFUL!!!

Well, he says it needs a battery to run. The buyer will get a surprise when they learn what all it needs to move under it’s own power, turn, shift gears, and stop.
I bet they’re even tossing in any interior mold and the wildlife that now calls it home for free!

Yeah, that’s kind of a deal breaker. It looks “pretty good” though, somehow?! I doubt it’s beyond saving. I just don’t have the stomach, the space, the time. And maybe not the wallet.

damnit, you take your star and go home.

I’d throw 300 bucks at this if it was local.

If I hadn’t just bought a different vintage BMW I’d probably be dumb enough to throw $300 at this.

Meh... let it get scrapped. It’s no great loss.

oh yeah! yours looked like a better buy, for sure.

2 pictures and no information seller doesn’t care much at all.

I know, I feel like they must have been told they could get $300 for scrap. Otherwise I’d be like, “here’s 38 cents, a stick of gum and a paperclip, some pocket lint, and this pinecone I just picked up off the ground, can I have it please?”

I mean it’s “local” to me, but still over an hour away. Now, if it was a running plow truck....
![]() 09/24/2019 at 13:48 |

It’d probably just be easiest to weld it onto a truck frame and send it. What could go wrong?

Just the wheels are worth that.

I still haven’t actually seen it in the metal but it now does something that kinda resembles running. We need to replace every vacuum hose and flush the semi flamable fluid out of the gas tank but it’s getting close.

Unfortunately this is too far away for me to make the terrible decision to look at it.
