Interestingly, not waterproof. Odd given you’d use it for ceremonies and things, likely on fixed dates and a slave to the weather.
Not really that well executed. Guess Lexus doesn’t mind giving shoddy workmanship to royalty? Maybe the design brief or whatever had this stipulation.

Looks stupid. Looks to be an LS600H too

I bet this was built by a local/regional coachbuilder. Toyota would’ve supplied a Century instead.

This is amazing...the fact there’s an official Lexus press release is even more amazing

Yeah, I remember when this was built. The hybrid was an intentional choice for environmental reasons, they made a big deal out of that in the original press release.

Carat Duchatelet in Belgium. Supposedly, it was built to be used only for his wedding, and then displayed as a museum piece afterward. Toyota almost certainly covered a good deal of the cost, as they put out a lot of PR material around it.

A shame, since the normal (and LWB) LS600Hs were pretty damn cool

One of the most advanced cars Toyota has ever built. Rare as hell too. Last time I checked I had found only 13 for sale in the entire country.

Yup. There’s a lovely pearlescent white one that works down the street from my apartment. I can’t help but look at it every time I go by.

I’m not so sure, not outside of Japan.
