The lease on my mom’s Camry is coming up and she’s at the Toyota dealership right now. They offered her a new Camry for the same price but it was sold yesterday. She’s right next to a Nissan dealership so I texted her to go in and check out a Leaf (an EV would be perfect for all the city driving she does). I hopped on their site to check inventory...
3 Maximas, 4 Altimas, 34 Kicks???
21 Qashqais and 77 Rogues!?!? Ugh.

This is truth. The amount of GLCs in our inventory at benz is staggering at times

Our Nissan shop the other day had two GT-Rs and zero L
eafs. It was all Altima,
Maximas and Rogues across the lot. And a few Titans.

Um hold the F up, that's saying there are over 2 million cars for sale. Holy crap

Something like 17M cars are sold a year in the US, so I don’t think that’s a shocking number, especially if it’s true that demand is slackening. Alternatively, you can say that there around 17k new car dealerships in the US, which would mean an average of around 120 cars per dealership sitting on the lots which feels entirely believable.

That’s because they sell it as the Rogue ‘Sport’ in the U.S., following Mitsubishi’s lead with the Outlander and Outlander Sport (it’s the RVR in Canada).
