I’m re-watching Tokyo Drift right now. And gosh dang it I love this movie.
The mountain scene where Neela(rhymes with Sheila, because she’s Australian) is drifting her Rx8 with a group of random drifters is the closest thing to a good live action Initial D that has existed this far.

I love how in the first minute of the movie a background character makes fun of ...the white guy’s accent.
I seriously can’t remember his name, and I’m watching t right now.

It’s by far my favorite F&F.

Honestly Tokyo Drift is one of the best in the series. Unlike most of the more recent movies it was actually about cars. Also I love me some Monte Carlo.

it is the only one imo that holds up

Tokoyo Drift is by far the best entry into the series. The story is a bit lame but the content is what drives it.

Yeah the main character is obsessed with cars, he didn’t even really car what car. Just CARS. I think that molded my opinion that all kinds of car are cool, that I didn’t want to just be a Honda guy, which I was.

Second best F&F to me after 5, but only because I have a massive love of heist films and F&F 5 is legit one of the best heist films of the past 10 years.

I have a TD movie poster and three others coming this week with frames for my garage wall.

OH that’s a good idea. Never considered movie posters for garage decoration. Baby driver would be an oth er good one.

As cheesy as the whole “stereotypical American white boy goes to Japan” shtick was, I still thought it was a better move than some of the others in the series. It really kept to it’s core theme, and didn’t have to turn into some weird “street racing for the FBI/CIA to catch an international bad guy” thing.
Plus, it easily had the best soundtrack of any film in the franchise. I still pops up in regular rotation in my listening.
