“Hey Lexus owner. S o...yeah...your paint might come off. Thats about all we know right now. We’ll let you know what to do about it.”
Interesting. my paint looks great, so I guess its not an issue for me.

I’d rather they let me know than just ignore it. I’d prefer to get an email though...

mine is also an 08, but I don’t see any evidence of failure.

I’m off to the Toyota dealership shortly to complain about my flaking paint. Good times!

Mine’s not too bad, I’ve seen worse. I’ve done a lot of touch up just below the windows, though

huh - interesting , the color coat seems to be coming off the primer stuff. I’ve had clearcoat fail, (looking at you, Nissan...) but nothing like that.

This gives me a warm feeling, and I don’t own a Lexus.

Yeah the base and primer don’t play nice together when exposed to UV for long duration, or some such nonsense. Nothing rusts because it’s still primer, it just falls off in sheets on some

You're not getting an email notice from a company that kept the tape deck around until 2010.

I had a tape deck in my ‘03 Volvo. It was handy since while they were stuck in the past enough to not do MP3/a ux-in/whatever, so at least I could use a cassette adapter to get my music on the speakers.

You know I just saw a fairly new Hyundai with pearl white paint and the same exact problem.
