Quick camping trip to NW Arkansas this past weekend
. Stayed on top of White Rock Mountain, and then took the back roads to Devil’s Den. Good times making memories with the kiddos and some friends.

Nice! I have a similar post in my drafts from our weekend adventure, minus the vehicle. Meanwhile, all I can think of when I hear Devil’s Den:

Been a long time since I’ve been over that way (stayed in Mountain View one time - cool spot), but a group of us go twice a year and know all the good backroads north of 40 and west of 65. We usually stay in or near Eureka Springs. And m
y M3 is “handley” enough. =)

Nice, that looks like a lot of fun. We haven’t camped this summer, but I’m still hoping for a couple of days of exploring before the snow starts to roll into the mountains. My son and I went for a hike yesterday. It’s 1000’ of elevation change ( climbing) in a little under 2 miles, it’s a short out and back trail (3.8 miles, total).
If you zoom in on the last picture, you can spot a few climbers. Eldorado Canyon is quite the climbers playground.

This falls are really cool.

Even more impressive in person - I’m standing on a wooden bridge, there’s a small pool in front of me, and the falls continue behind me.

Very nice! Wish I was closer to stuff like this for day trips.

I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even know it was only 20 minutes from my house. I see more trips in the future, especially for a late afternoon getaway.

Yeah, there’s plenty of “good enough” spots to explore not that far from our place. Definitely need to do more of it.
