The waitress at the restaurant I went to could not have been older than 20. She was wearing a Hell Awaits T shirt, and I complimented her on it.

She said, “Most people tell me I shouldn’t wear it.” I said, “I guess people are still uptight, 30 years after the fact.” She looked at me like I had just spoken I’m Sanskrit. It was like she had no idea what I was talking about. Then Mrs. IM kicked me in the shin under the table so I shut up.

I used to have a really cool tie-dyed Slaytanic Wehrmact t-shirt back in the day. It looked like this:

It had the logo on the back. I miss that shirt. I think Slayer kind of moved away from the Nazi imagery over the years, and I think they are kind of a fashion statement now. Hell Awaits, indeed.

I wore a Lamb of God shirt in college, and one of my professor’s commented, “I didn’t see you as the religious type.”

i think that happens a lot... especially with their tamer shirts
