That Tracer is actually quite rare nowadays, especial ly in that trim.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a Tracer wagon in any form other than this:
Give or take on amount of rust.

The rims on that wagon are awesome.
The summer alloys on my Accent came from the 3rd-gen
Escort version of that car! :P I don’t think we ever actually got the Mercury Tracer version of that car here in Canada? You guys still had Mercury as a brand until far later than we did.

Someone on Oppo should know what the “Sport” package gives you on a 1999 Mercury Tracer Station Wagon.

I’ve driven the sedan version of that exact generation of Escort. They weren’t bad for their time, but were definitely outclassed by the competition in one form or another.
And I think the 1997+
Mercury Tracer wagon
was a US-only thing. I don’t recall seeing any in Canada of that generation.

IIRC it gets you stiffer muffler bearings, performance blinker fluid for more direct signalling and a ‘Mercury Tracer Sport’ embossed numbered set of left handed screw drivers.

Your GTI looks so shiny. I want to wash mine but I’m taking it on a road trip this weekend so it stays dirty :(
