Life is good — o bjectively speaking.
Work is not good, but this house was kind of cool.
Doggo is 100% back to normal. S he got real sick last week. I know it’s shocking that I didn’t make a post about it, but I keep the scary stuff off Oppo and just holllllllld it all in. Confirmed: she just barked at a jogger. 100% normalness achieved.
How about you?

is that 2x6 framing to be clad with “real wood” to make a faux beam? that’s disappointing.

I got stood up sunday morning, Then the 914 hit a pothole and randomly lost power. Got it running, made it home.
Tonight it starts right up, so I’m contemplating tonight how much I want to dr ink my problems away.

For the most part, pretty great. I took the girl I’m seeing up to Asheville on a day trip on Saturday, and then she came over for dinner on Sunday. Work is alright, nothing great going on but nothing terrible either.

“We need to add more pod lights .”
Life’s good. Did some adults things today, worked out, making hamburgers for dinner. Going to Stoon tomorrow for a day trip.
Glad to hear Luna’s okay and that home life is good.

I'm not sure. I hope to be back in a month... That is, if they don't reject my bid, which is already beyond their budget...

I remember the one time I got stood up. I was 16 and had just gotten my license. Some girl invited me over like 40 miles away, and I was a hormonal teenager so of course I went. We were going to meet at the Kroger across from her neighborhood. I spent at least an hour and a half wandering the store, waiting for my phone to buzz, before I realized no one was coming.
That doesn't help your case, but you're not alone for sure. Some people are just assholes and others have difficulty handling social situations. I hope your date's problem is the latter and you'll be able to reconnect after a little bit. Wishful thinking, but still.

House looks suspiciously tasteful.
I am enjoying your general vicinity:
Otherwise I am sore, sunburned, and the skin on my ankle is breaking apart into bloody shards. But having a good time nonetheless.

Got a raise & promotion at work, that’s nice. Now I can’t go 15 minutes without someone saying my name. Building a big lumber order (going out 1st thing tomorrow morning) I’ve been trying to get done all day, past my secluded leaving time. I shut off my radio, the screwed off on a forklift. If only all times of the day could be 6am-8am before everyone arrives.

Desperate for some good work. Waiting on proposals, none of which have involved more than video calls. But the kiddo is amazing, and I’m worried that I’m not getting her to enough outlets. Moved my awesome neighbors out of their house and storage units on Saturday, and still kinda sore.
TL;DR: Life is hard work.

I am looking forward to the finished product. I would post more floor plans of where I worked if you guys didn’t use that Google image search thingie. Since this is a custom home and not just a new spec home, I tend to err on the side of caution.

Glad to hear that your doggo is doing well. My doggo is recovering from spending all day yesterday at a birthday party with lots of children. My niece and nephew turned 13 and 9, respectively within the last few weeks, so there was a joint party. Lots of kids, and then I went and took her into the swimming pool with me. She was not a fan. It’s probably first (and possibly last) time she’s ever been swimming. Of course when I say swimming, I mean that she was clinging on to me for dear life:

I’m good but my my wife scratched her cornea and had to go to urgent care yesterday. She’s sporting an eye patch now. She thinks she looks like a pirate or Daryl Hanah in Kill Bill. With her glasses over the patch I think she looks more like “old Indy” from the Young Indiana Jones TV show, but I’m not telling her that.

I should be walking my brothers pupper that I’m watching but there are moose meandering down our dead end road. Seems slightly unsafe to pass

I’m very glad to hear that Luna is back to normal!
Work has been all-consuming lately, but the end is in sight: I am not working two out of the four weeks in September, and one of the other two weeks is a department summit so it’ll be pretty easy and have lots of free food.

I’m glad to hear the doggo is back to protecting her kingdom from joggers. I agree that people that choose to run for “fun” are not to be trusted.
We have a major, 4 month long project going at work which is going to drive us all batty. We have electricians going around shutting off things they shouldn’t be without letting us know ahead of time so we can make system changes. Even better they’ve been claiming they haven’t been to some of the locations. That’s really odd given that there is freshly run conduit where it happened.
Tomorrow my boss’s, boss’s, boss is in town with his new boss which is always fun. At least I’ll get a free lunch out of that headache though.

As a teen, I drove vast distances for even the most unlikely chance of... stuff. Even with all my fantastic failures, I would do it all again (maybe more?), and I fault no other youth for going to great lengths and dreaming big.

Good and bad. Just got another paper out the door, so that’s good. Just had my phone stolen. That’s not so good.
Life giveth and taketh away.
Glad Luna is well.

I’m doing pretty well right now This school year is starting off about a thousand times better than the last one ended. I had a few days last year that were so bad, that if I was single I would have just tossed my keys on the desk and driven somewhere ... Anywhere ... until I ran out of road.
We got a mostly new building administration, and they’ve established a new tone in the building. So far, it’s pretty good. So much calmer than last year.

Just went for a run. Saw a street parked Mclaren 570S (hello, gentrification) and about 8 cop cars in three locations for a couple neighborhood carjackings (...maybe not).
Glad Luna is doing better. Shelly is also recovering from having eaten something indigestible and I’m out of bleach so the timing worked out great.

I got a.hair cut tonight, drove the Z to work and to my hair cut. Got a photo of a Supra MK II. Thought to myself my car that is 15 years older than this supra is faster than this supra, but no opportunity to race said old Supra . Got a trip to California next week.

I have something resembling ‘cedar fever’. My upper lip is swollen, and my eyes were nearly swollen shut this morning. That’s the first and last time I use my BR600 blower to remove all the cedar dropping near my garage... Benedryl has helped... a lot. My allergist will probably put me on Prednis one tomorrow. Efffffffff...

My wife’s Outback’s just lit up the dashboard with a check engine, blinking parking brake light, blinking cruise control light, and blinking transmission overheat light and started shaking violently when put in gear . I’m 99% sure the CVT is toast. So things are pretty much normal here. My older doggo isn’t doing so hot. I took him in a big hike at 10,000 ft yesterday that he’s done many time before and by the end he needed to be carried. He pretty much didn’t move until dinner time today. Didn’t even go on his regular walk or bark at neighbors going by the window. He’s up and moving around now so hopefully he’s just a little overextended and will get back to normal soon.

Did they really have someone build fake support beam things and not finish them? Those open hole things will be a nightmare to clean.
