Went to the local circle track last night for figure-8 racing night. This is a special kind of crazy and it was so much fun....
And nobody could have expected this....
Luckily nobody was hurt bad enough to feel it through whatever they’re on. In other not surprising news the Lite beer was almost cold and the tacos were.... questionable. Big thanks to State Line Speedway for a fun night though!

Figure 8 train racing is the best. Three cars chained together in a line, front driver has steering and gas but no brakes. Rear car has brakes but nothing else. They did that at a track in Denver when I lived there years ago. Don’t know if they still do .

We haven’t made it to a race here yet this year. It’s time to go out. Figure 8 is a lot of fun. Last year when we went, there was a run what you brung, with people bringing their street cars on the track to set fastest lap. A new lifted, diesel Ford managed to tag the wall pretty hard.

That’s one of those ideas that sounds amazing at 3:00 AM sitting around a campfire drinking whiskey, but less appealing the next morning. I’m glad someone followed through with it!
