Well, it’s probably 1-2 years out. So we’ve got some time. I’ll definitely be selling the 997 now, and investing that money until it’s time for the downpayment.
I’m also applying to jobs in another part of the country that is way better for my line of work, that pays WAY more. So good timing for me I guess.

I’m serious about selling it. I’ve been distracted with things recently so I haven’t had a chance to get it detailed. I drive it to work (30mi round trip) onc e every week or two , otherwise it sits in the garage under a car cover on a battery tender.

Sounds like it lives the same life as my M3 although it shares its tent garage time with the 02. Here’s what dinner is going to sound like at my house tonight:
Me: Hey darling, peep this 997
Wife: Oh that is a really pretty color, I like it.
Me: Yea? Well... this guy on the internet wants to sell it to me and I want to buy it!
*silverware drops on plate*
Wife: Wow, first of all you said no more cars for at least a year ! Also, where are you going to put it? What about the house?
Baby: * Does a peek a boo face*
Me: The new house (that we have not yet found and have made very little headway on) will have a two car garage and plenty of parking, and I’ll sell the M3.
Wife: Why don’t you sell the M3 first
Baby: *throws food to dogs*
Me: I can’t sell it now. It’s the end of summer!
Wife: That is a ploy to keep it
Me: *tries to think of a comeback*
Baby: *farts*
Wife: *laughs*
Me: *laughs*
Baby: *laughs hysterically*
Me: So we’re cool?
Wife: *begins to speak*
Me: *picks up baby, leaves room*
