Hehe the numbers match. I’m going to be hitting the 3 year mark with my 17 GTI this September and have only put 20k miles on it so far. Feels like I’ve done more, but I guess when your commute is only 6 miles in heavy traffic that does it.
Still love this car so much and probably will do an APR t une now that the main warranty is up. Need a good road trip to get some more miles on her!

Always amazes me how little miles some people put on every year.
Meanwhile here I am: 30k/yr on my van, 30k/yr on my car, and generally another 5k on whatever is serving backup duty. Mind you my work commute is only 25 miles, so most of our driving is racked up after work/weekends.

Seriously, I didn’t think about it that much until today but I know people with newer cars and almost the same amount of miles. I guess I just don’t leave my city too often

I put 15K on my car every year for the first three years I had it. After that, two things happened: I changed jobs, so my commute went from 40 miles a day to just 4, and the squadron got a van, so I no longer had to drive 250 miles every few months to go down to my teaching gig. In the last four years I’ve put on about 18K total. Since I plan on keeping this car forever the lower mileage is a definite plus.
