fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck valve cover gasket blew. Oil coated the engine bay on the exhaust side. Nothing fully ignited, but lots of smoke.

If the valve cover gasket let go all a t onc e, I’d look into the PCV system as well. Shouldn’t be pressure in there to make it suddenly release all the oil .

Exactly. Something pressurized the engine. Could be immense blowby. Or could be PCV. It didn’t just leak.

Lol valve cover gaskets aren’t hard. I can’t even do brakes but I was able to do my bmw valve cover. All you need a is a 10mil and one other tiny socket
