She Really Doesn’t Clean Up Bad!

I’m in Amherst Ohio with my little one and tomorrow is DSM Shootout day. Therefore the Mirage has to look good since the DSM is still awaiting parts.

Astute followers of this car may notice subtle little changes. The rear Mitsubishi diamonds are changed; they’re now shining in carbon fiber as this is the true OEM Evolution X final edition emblem. It wasn’t cheap nor did it come easy lol.

The factory whip antenna is replaced with a Ralliart carbon fiber shorty, and looks nice. The license plate lights and interior lights are now LED and the headlights are Silverstar Ultra which I’ll be testing tonight.

Enough of that, here she is.

She’s been washed, ceramic coated and then waxed using Griots Best of Show. :)

I have some upgraded Philips bulbs in my headlights...I forget the model name....something with ‘130%’ in the title? Xtreme Vision maybe? That sounds about right...they’ve lasted a long time and still work great so far! :)

The Mirage is looking good! I wish I could wash Humdrum....still do once and awhile, but I live on a gravel road, so the second I come home she’s covered in dust again...

The shorty antenna is cool, but I actually think I like the look of slightly longer roof antennas! I have to figure out what is up with my car...radio reception is pretty crumby in the last year other than the local station and swapping the antenna from my brother’s or mom’s cars made no difference. Either there is a wiring issue (which I doubt), or my factory stereo head unit is failing....which is possible as my brother’s failed on him 2 years ago and I got him a used one from a local pick and pull yard. Maybe I’ll need to do the same soon...

Those upgrades look really nice on that. I dig the lightning. Thanks :) it’s one step at a time to get it looking how I want. It was FILTHY so took tons of effort to get it looking great. My kiddo was very integral.

I don’t mind the longer antennas but my inner ricer loves carbon fiber everything so it had to happen haha.

That really is a nice color. For some reason I love the plasma purple, though they don’t make it any more.

I just wish they’d tack on another cylinder. If the Mirage  had the same power as a base Fiat 500 (101 HP) I bet it would be a blast.

I dig the purple too, unfortunately it was only a pre-facelift color as you stated. Was a neat color though.

I’m am very mad the purple is no longer available. I don’t think these need another cylinder, the weight and sound of the 3 pot is crucial. What it needs is BOOST

I also feel a little justified knowing someone who has chased insane 1/4 mile times in a DSM is driving a slowsupershitcar like I want to. DSMs rule.

Some said “It’s just a Mirage” but, once they got closer, it actually turned  out to be a decent looking little car!
