A week from tomorrow, I’m going to pick up the Colorado from my grandparents and drive it home. I’ll be pretty much sticking to I-75 from Detroit to Lexington and then Atlanta the next day. That gives me a couple extra hours each day to stop, if there’s anything you know of that I should see. Obviously car-related stuff is cool, but I also love antique malls and flea markets and stuff (although, I’m driving home on Monday and Tuesday, so those might be closed).

It’s a tiny bit off-route, but Deals Gap would be a fun diversion in any vehicle. Get off I-75 in Knoxville, TN, and head south on 129. Follow that around to 28, then jus t take 143/165 back to I-75

You’ll be very close to the AF Museum. If you stop let me know because I work on base and may be able to drop by to say hello.
Downtown Dayton also has a Packard museum.

I’ve always wanted to check out Oak Ridge “the atomic city” I figure that would be interesting . I f A-bombs aren’t your jam and you can detour west the Lane motor museum in Nashville is super fun . Also the rocket museum in Huntsville AL has an amazing collection of space program stuff.
I went there one Thursday evening when I was working in the area for their Biergarten night under the Saturn V booster.

Ooooh , I forgot about Lane. I've been there before, but I definitely wouldn't mind going back.
