So, my local brew pup has a Wednesday bike ride. As a semi-enthusiast bike rider, I decided to join up for a short ride with about 20 regulars. Surprise, we are riding to a bar which serves the brew pups beer. FREE PINTS FOR EVERYONE! Never had a beer then a ride. Fun experience. I need to do it again.

i usually have a ride then a beer
(but i cycles everywhere so i’d be lying if i said i hadnt had beer before riding before ..... ive just never had a beer before riding)

I think he’s referring to non motorized bikes. Bars where people drink and ride motorcycles don’t give out free beer.

i’ve been ona couple rides after a beer or two and its fine. i’ve also been on one ride after something like 100 beers 200 mai thais and a shot of tequila.... i was in the woods, definable not dumb enough to go on t he street like that, but o man... the trail looked like it was constantly forking. I didn;t stay out there for long.

I once woke up in the middle of a roundabout, tangled up in my bicycle, having already crashed the bike before I’d even left the pub carpark just a couple of hundred metres away .

Fun fact: in Ohio, you can easily lose your license for riding a bicycle drunk.
(Most violations only have license effects if they’re performed in/on a motor vehicle, but drunk driving (operating a vehicle under the influence) and vehicular homicide count against your license even on a bicycle.)
