Hope they fixed the thing where the helmet was too heavy and might break the necks of female pilots (and small men) when ejecting. If not, I hope she never has to eject (actually I guess I hope that regardless of whether they fixed the helmet).

Interestingly, there is not a single steam gauge in the F-35. Not even a compass. If all power is lost, there is a battery that will keep critical screens like artificial horizon, altitude and compass going for (I think) no more than five minutes. Just long enough to land immediately or GTFO. This came from an F-35 pilot.

Be tter be some serious bling for the price tag on those helmets, I think it’s somewhere in the neighborhood of $300k and $400k.....yowza!
I suppose “x-ray ” vision comes at a steep cost.
