A friend of mine has one of the few Imps to make it to C anada (where it is a s S unbeam Imp)
S wedish cars were not challenging enough for him. Moved on to Scottish cars.
with ejection seats.

Also known as the Hillman Imp. These cars are pretty important, one of this first all syncro transmissions , aluminium head and block engine. Automatic choke...
We have one at The British Transportation Museum, currently doing brake work on it.

This post was inspired hy Hammerhead Fistpunch using an Imp in his post and saying that he didn’t want an Imp for his new car. I feigned support for a Chamois, as it wouldn’t be an Imp. Sort of.

I’ve always found t he powertrain is elegantly cracktastic. Aluminum Coventry Climax (!) designed slant four , driving the radiator fan and water pump next to the engine.
The packaging is almost like a powerpack for a tank.
