Fifty years ago today, they stopped traffic for ten minutes, and took six pictures.

Boy, they’re gonna carry that white. Carry that white a long time.
Hey, that almost works in an Australian accent...
My son (8) was listening to a random song on the radio yesterday and declared “This has to be the longest song there is, except Hey Jude.”
It brought a tear to my eye :)

The zebra crossing is now a Grade 2 listed building (no, it's not actually a building. Deal with it.).

introduce him to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida sometime.
or pick a Dream Theater album, there’s very likely at least one 10+ minute song on it.

LOL, touche.
We just added the Dave Matthews station on Sirius, which has tons of exclusives from recent concerts (I hate big concerts, but love live versions)
No kidding, our running family joke is that we can go anywhere in town within the span of one song. Sometimes we run an errand, go in the store, come back out, and it’s still the instrumental intro.

I like “you can tell they’re a prog rock band, they’ve been playing for 7 minutes, it’s sounded like 4 different songs, and there’s yet to be any singing.”

It lives in a museum
A white Volkswagen Beetle is to the left of the picture, parked next to the zebra crossing, which belonged to one of the people living in the block of flats across from the recording studio. After the album was released, the number plate (LMW 281F) was stolen repeatedly from the car. In 1986, the car was sold at auction for £2,530 [90] [nb 5] and in 2001 was on display in a museum in Germany.

When things that happen to be in the background of your album cover end up in a museum.

i once hopped in my car when Alices Resturant came on and made to the intersection across from work when it wrapped up.
My friend has a joke if he ever wins powerball, he’s starting a radio station with only 9+ min ute songs.
