Anyone ever have a show/movie that you saw as a kid and aren’t sure actually existed or you just imagined them ?

Finally found out the name of this damn show. Doesn’t look as good as I remember it being....

Others that haunted me for years were Krull

and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

Those ones I figured out years ago after they got released on DVD.

sort of; I remember specific scenes from several things I’m pretty sure I saw years ago, but I have no idea what movies/TV shows they were from.

I wish someone would come up with a search engine where I could describe the particular scene and it would tell me what it’s from.

Yep. My mom let me watch this on TV when I was five or six. It was terrifying.

Kinja'd!!!

She made it worse when she decided to chase me around the house while grinning like the woman in the movie. She didn’t have the teeth, but my mom had the same wavy brunette hair.

Kinja'd!!!

I’m not sure how long I had nightmares, but by the time I became an adult, I wasn’t sure if it was a movie or if it was all a bad dream.

All of this is why I never tried to frighten my kids when they were little. We still sneak up on each other and say “boo!” But that’s the extent of it. The world’s scary enough.

Thanks, Mom.

You might have luck by just searching that.

Literally all I remembered from this show was ‘ dude in leather jacket and a floating eye’ .

Kinja'd!!!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I googled “ 80's show floating eye” and found it.

My dad thought it was a great idea for 6 year old me to watch Nightmare on Elm Street. Then t hought it was an even better idea to lay on the ground outside the bathroom and grab my feet when I walked out.

Scenes from a forgotten series haunted my mind for years along with the names of a couple characters. I had a thought it had been on Nickelodeon around 1984-85, but I had no other data, just vague memories. Some sleuthing and the wonders of Youtube found that the whole thing is online:

This unique one also kind of existed as a young hallucination, I later learned it is real:

I quite enjoyed them both, trips down memory lane may be the best part of Youtube.

Yes but with obscure video games on computers.

I had Atari Adventure in my brainspace invading dreams since forever, then I got this bundle of games on Steam and lo! there it was with cheesy glimmering seahorsey dragons and all. Can’t figure out for the life of me how to make it work right on my PC though.

There was a TV show on Nickelodeon back when it first started that, either at the beginning or the end of the show, showed a stop-motion long-eared toy rabbit spinning its ears like helicopter blades and flying out of the toybox and out of the attic? room it was in. I can't remember any details and I have whiled away many hours trying to learn what it was called.

I certainly didn’t think so at the time.

Is there any chance this is it? It’s cel-animation not stop-motion but it has the toy box, flying rabbit and attic elements.

There is more than one Baron Munchausen , though. And hav e you ever seen T he Singing-Ringing Tree ?

The show that haunts me is E scape Into Night , based on the book Marianne D reams , which always has a different title in my memory. The standing stones with eyeballs spooked me back in the day.

After I found out what movie it was I familiarized myself with it a bit more. Found an old copy of the book years ago at a library sale.

I was unfamiliar with the Singing-Ringing Tree and Escape Into Night/Marianne Dreams.  Both look awesome.
