Yep ... the pilots in the forum will howl about this, but UAVs can perform 70-80 % of the strike missions (War on Terror drone strikes are a good example) . It’s only when you need situational awareness on-scene due to the proximity of friendlies that a pilot in the cockpit becomes necessary.
The enhanced A-7 would have filled many gaps at a lower cost, and could have been an excellent export model for our allies.
