Well duh.
Link if you’re interested in watching the whole thing:
Wish they’d update this with the Infiniti Q50/60 ’s 400HP 3.0T v6, an interior from this decade and make a proper competitor to the Supra

I’m more impressed by the fact it’s on Turo.

It suffers the same problem as the frontier. Its got semi-decent and passably modern foundations and so Nissan has decided that’ s good enough. For the truck, it kinda is. The interior could be redone, a new transmission and smaller engine based on the current one added and it could sell as modern right now.
With the Z...sports coupes aren’t as forgiving.

Why tho ? I have seen far more exotic expensive stuff on Turo

It’s an odd car to rent.

The Frontier is understandable i guess, some people want a barebones truck that just works “If it ain’t broken...” I actually sat in a brand new one at the Nissan dealership few months back. That interior is pretty much unchanged from 2001, pretty ballsy from Nissan and clearly they don’ t give AF as long as it keeps chugging along .

If they threw the Infiniti motor in it and gave it a facelift they could probably get away with it... 390Z.

Imagine if they gave it that update instead of a paint scheme for the anniversary

Makes you wonder who’s buying these things and with how much dealer discount. I just can’t imagine any situation of paying over 35k for one of these, especially with how many great cars have debuted since 2009.

Nissan is in a world of hurt. They pissed off a key player and their line up is a mess . Unless they cut ties with Renault I have a feeling they will just stay the course of a boring and aging lineup

I have never seen an Edmunds review as blunt and harsh as the one about the 370Z. Yikes. I went back to find it.

P robably figured they would spend their updating money on the Infiniti instead of the Z given the smaller volume. They probably didn’t want to compete head to head against the “new” Supra either. The whole mid range sports car market just is too small now...
