My truck has become a meeting place for Cardinals, who like to leave their calling cards. I was tired of washing the long white trails off of the paint, so I tried this, and it really works.
We also tried using this owl in the barn at our last house, with mixed results. It doesn’t seem to work as well with Robins.

Oh yea. Th ese are quite popular on boats, too. They keep off the smaller birds; Pelicans will ignore them. Folks also tie old CDs up with fishing line like a windchime but they flash sunshine at the rest of us.

I’m guessing it works for certain birds and for a certain amount of time. There is a building near where I work that has one over the entry way and there are still always birds all around the fake owl.

No, I just keep him behind the seat and place him on the back when parked. So far, he only took a tumble once when I forgot him. Fortunately, h e landed in the bed.

You should mount the owl as a hood ornament.
